Numb hands and big grins

What a season!
The poignant goodbye to the bike park for another year was heavily overshadowed by an awesome ride this weekend!
I thought it would be a while before I was hearing tales of fresh powder lines, and I definitely thought it would be from people carving turns with metal rails, and not tearing it up with high rollers!
After the snow riding on saturday and sunday, we had an awesome wet weather ride on monday. Super cold, but amazing to be part of such a small group of riders out in those conditions to see out the season, and even better to probably be one of the only people down in deep that day!
Now that the bike park season in officially over, and I will not be racing bikes any more this year, I have begun to think a lot about the future, particularly next summer!

Off the back of some good results this season, I really want to push myself with my racing next year. I have proved I can go fast, and this winter will be dedicated to getting stronger, fitter and faster to race much more next year. I have had the best summer of my life this year, and am already excited and hungry to start the season next year!

With my best results being in the enduro downhill races this year, I am setting out to win the red bull burner in angelfire next year. After all, what better training is there for the burner than riding Whistler bike park all day every day off I have?!!

I'm stoked to do some more filming and photos next year too. I was really happy with the photos and footage we got this summer, but a little disappointed that I only really got the ball rolling with the media stuff towards the end of the season!

This month is going to be about a lot of XC, trying to squeeze in as much riding as I can before the snow flies, and trying to secure some support for next year, so I can spend my money getting to races, instead of throwing it into the eternal financial black hole that is maintaining my bikes!

Keep checking back, I will have more pictures and stories up soon!

keep it pinned
